We are committed to the protection, confidentiality and integrity of your personal data. In this privacy statement, we explain what personal data we collect from you when you use our products and services, and how we use this information.
What personal data is collected?
We need certain personal data from you to fulfil orders placed on the webshop and to inform you about our products and services. Some of this data you provide directly, for example when you place an order. In addition, we receive certain personal data indirectly via your devices, through interaction with our services (e.g. via cookies). This allows us to personalise and improve our products.
When you create an account with Just Mate or otherwise use our services, we process the following data:
- First and last name;
- Salutation (Mr./Mrs. etc.);
- E-mail address;
- Your telephone number;
- Your address;
- Your location details;
- IP address;
- Payment and billing information, such as bank account number;
- Company name (if applicable);
- Company registration number (if applicable).

Where appropriate, we may use your data in the context of dispute resolution, to enforce our contract with you, to enforce our rights against third parties, or to defend ourselves against third-party claims or allegations.

With whom do we share your personal data?
If necessary, we share your personal data with third parties such as suppliers (such as hosting providers, customer service and e-marketing) and other partners. We share your data:

As described below under 'Responsible Entity', the webshop justmatet.co.uk is a trade name of Just Mate. In order to provide our services to you, we use some overlapping group facilities, for example for database management, administration, marketing and fraud prevention. In this context, certain personal data are also shared with the other entities. Data sharing within the company takes place solely for the purpose of our business activities, our service to you and as described in this privacy statement.
Where are your personal data processed?
For hosting and maintenance purposes, your personal data is stored in the European Union. Your personal data is mainly processed by our staff at our head office in Alblasserdam, the Netherlands.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We only keep your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or used and/or as long as required by law.
If you do not use your account for 18 months, we mark it as 'inactive' in our database. In that case, we will no longer actively use your account information, for example to inform you about our products and services. Your account will be archived so that you can reactivate it at any time should you wish to use our services again in the future.
If you wish to cancel your account, please contact our customer service. After cancellation, we will delete your personal data without undue delay with the exception of the information we are legally obliged to keep.
Data may also be kept longer if it is needed for claims or legal proceedings.
Accessing and managing your personal data.
Through your personal account, you can access and edit your personal data directly.If you cannot access, correct or delete certain personal data yourself, if you would like a copy of your personal data, or if you would like to request the restriction of processing, please contact us at justmatenl@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days of receiving such requests.
Legal basis for data processing
We collect and process your personal data only when we have a legal basis for doing so. The following bases apply:
- The processing is necessary for the performance of your contract;
- The processing is necessary for the representation of our legitimate business interests, e.g. i) to be able to conduct our business activities; ii) for the purpose of certain forms of direct marketing and profiling; iii) to archive information about your account so that you can reactivate it at a later date; iii) to detect or prevent fraud or abuse of our services; or iv) for the security of our network and systems;
- The processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, such as the retention obligation for administrative data or to share certain information for criminal investigations following a police order;
- When you have given us explicit consent for processing, for example to share data with partners for commercial purposes.
Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. In this case, we will terminate the relevant processing of your data. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
